Gas central heating or electric wall radiators..?!

I need to install some form of heating into a 2 bed mainsonette I'm renovating.

I only trust gas central heating but many people have advised that new electric radiators work really well.

Does anyone have advice on either! The last electric heaters I remember were from the 80's - god awful storage heaters that did nothing..not sure I trust them..;)!

I'm no expert, you want pigletjohn but I personally would be put off buying a property with only electric heaters.

I had modern electric heaters in my last flat & they are awful. They dont heat the room & I had to also have an oil filled radiator in the living room most of the year to keep the room warm(ish)

Gas Central Heating every time for me.

laws of physics wise, it is electric as that is as near as you can get to 100% efficient. But the economics means that it has to be gas.

Like Virgil - I don't know the figures around todays heaters, but my only experience of electric heaters was 1970s storage heaters, and if I swa something that looked similar, I'd be put off the property straight away.
