OK, how about paint for kitchen cabinets...

Ok, as you may know from previous threads, we are renovating a house and plan to change the kitchen in a few years.

In the meantime we are getting the current kitchen cabinets painted. My decorator is a Dulux one who has humoured me with my choice of a few F&B paints and has told me he doesn't care what we use to paint them - satinwood or cupboard paint.

The painter who is working with him said that he was quite impressed with the cupboard paint as it seems to have a plasticky layer which makes it more robust.

I want an off-white (think dulux Timeless / F&B Wimborne white) but the Dulux Cupboard paint only comes in Jasmine White. Does anyone know is it close enough? It needs to go with F&B blue gray that I will have of a wall.

So - satinwood or cupboard paint and what colour please oh gurus of Mumsnet Grin

HAve a look here for ideas and inspiring pics, he recommends Little Greene eggshell and these can be matched to F&B colours or they have their own range which is lovely.

Oh but how hard is annie sloan to put on? My painter is doing the cabinets as a bit of an additional job and not charging that much and the idea is for it to look better rhan it does now. I think he was only going to do one or two coats at most...

Thanks again :)
