Thinking about moving there.

Would need primary school that's good with SEN.

Prestbury is lovely, but you have to be careful as some streets are called Prestbury when actually it's whaddon....which isn't as nice.

St Mary's is meant to be excellent but don't know about sen specifically. Senior schools not so good. how about bishops Cleeve? right next door and a much bigger village feel. good schools too

Thanks, been looking through old threads and lots of suggestions of Bishops Cleeve, also Churchdown.

I'm basically trying to find the nicest budget friendly locations. Am I on the right track? Missed anywhere?

Hatherley is more budget- friendly than the town centre. Some good primaries (Greatfield Park, Warden Hill) and good secondary (Bournside) Might be worth looking at Brockworth for a budget-friendly option- 5 miles out of Cheltenham but is a growing village- the Coopers Edge development has a brand new primary school which is fabulous with a brilliant head. The secondary there was in trouble a few years ago but definitely on the up now.

What's your budget and what do you want? I'm property queen of CheltenhamSmile I've just bought in Hatherley and would recommend it, not much coming on the market at the moment though. My boy goes to St James which is an amazing school and has excellent SEN rep.

Personally I'd stick to Cheltenham Grin

OOh excellent! I'm just fantasy shopping at the moment to be honest. Looking to move in about 12 months time, would be renting. I'm already living in gloucestershire at the moment, so I need to come and explore the residential areas a bit more I think.

I'd always written off Up Hatherley, don't even really know why now! I suppose I'm a bit worried about living in a suburban commuter sprawl and that's how it looks to me travelling past. What kind of 'feel' has it got IYSWIM?

Will google Coopers Edge too.
