Removing watermarks from wooden door?

Hello, my wooden bathroom door has been badly watermarked from splashes from the kids in the bath, are there any tricks I could try to remove them? I'm unsure wether the door has been waxed or oiled...though I think oiled! It's not shiny! Thank you!

I heard on the radio last night that an iron on medium heat will take out water marks. Haven't tried it though- would imagine you need to turn the steam off!
