does anybody have the Roman Blind

from Argos?

I need a cheap Roman Blind to go up in my living room until I can afford a more expensive, decent, nicer one.

however the one in argos is too wide and I want to know if it can be cut to size?

I really don't want to put my old curtains up because they won't match with my new decor and a Roman blind will make the room look bigger.

I know I can get made to measure blinds but they're out of my budget at the mo after paying to have a decorator in.

If anyone can advise I would be very happy Smile

It's tricky to cut down a Roman blind but you can hang it over your window rather than within the frame and then the width won't matter.

Would that work?

ooh no I don't think I like that idea.

I also don't think that would make the room look bigger either Smile

They are quite easy to cut to size. I've done a few from b&q.

Depends how much you need to cut them down by really. You may lose one of the cords or you may need to reposition it. I just used the wonder web stuff to re hem the side etc.

My kitchen blind works fine and have never had any problems. The fabric was quite light weight. The bedroom ones on the other hand are a right pain. They were blackout ones and the fabric is quite heavy so they never fold in the right place and look a mess.

If its just a stop gap then give it a go Smile
