Decking prices

Having just about finished inside (for now...!) DH and I are gathering quotes for outside but they seem pretty hefty.

Is anyone able to advise a rough price for building a deck approx 2.7x2.7m?

Are you sure you want decking? It gets pretty slippy quickly. The previous owners here had it put in and we ripped it out after the first winter, when we discovered it was worse than a skating rink.
