Prepping house for sale

Hello

Over the years, my children have put stickers on their bedroom windows. We are currently preparing the house for sale. My DH thinks removing the stickers from the windows 'is over the top'. What do you think?

Personally I would remove them (but I know my husband would be with yours on this!) I think they can make the windows look a little tatty/busy when infact they are not. It adds to the overall impression, but I doubt its going to make or break your sale tbh so totally up to you.

No, I would definitely remove them :)

Yes,remove them.

remove them. As a buyer I would be worried about the stickers leaving a residue and the cost of replacing the window. I would definitely wonder why they hadn't been removed

Definitely remove them, and stickers on doors, walls, radiators and anywhere else,. Also try to declutter the rooms and remove posters.

It's a buyer's market so do anything you can to make your house more attractive.

Of course you are all right. I knew that and now DH is convinced thanks to you! To me it is so bloody obvious that they need to be removed that it makes me worry what else he is going to think is 'over the top'! I fear fun and games ahead.....

You have got to declutter and declutter again. People don't want to see personal belongings. A useful rule of thumb I gave myself was to leave it as you would leave it if someone you didn't know was going to stay for a while. I would not be impressed by stickers on windows. I removed the children's glow stars from the ceiling just in case viewers worried that they would leave marks when removed.
