Opinions on this house in Bridge of Allan

Just wondering..anybody got any views? I have found (window shopping for now) a beautiful house in BoA, but worried about students, HMOs etc as its near Stirling University.

Also, this house has been on the market for a year...even in the current climate, I cant help wondering what could be the catch...flooding? Noise?

Have had a look at that one - location is great but we wouldn't need any of the extras, the cottage, the outbuildings and the notion that other steading buildings will 'become available' worries me a bit as that might mean a development nearby. Also, it needs everything done inside really, kitchen, bathrooms, so if I'm doing that, I'd want to come down in price (trying to simplify life, smaller mortgage etc). Ideally, I'm after what I already have - big rooms, lots of light, hills, very plain . . .
