Shared ownership housing

I am new to MN. I have been following a few threads but need some advice of my own. I am in the process of splitting up with DP, so far very amicable.

we intend to let our house until the market picks up and then sell in a couple of years. I am unable to afford to buy a new house off the open market and am thinking of shared ownership. Does anyone have experience of how to get started.

I need a 3 bed property as I have 2 teenage children.

Where I live you need to be a first time buyer to do shared ownership. Do you know whether people who already own properties are eligible for shared ownership in your area?

There's some info here which states that if you used to own a home but can't afford one now you may be eligible. So you could apply once you've sold your house.

I think you also need to be on the local authority housing waiting list too.
