Heat mark on polished black granite - help!

I've just noticed a pan shaped dark mark on my new black granite worktops no one seems to know how/when it happened...is there anything I can do to shift it?

Ring a granite supplier and ask

Update - haven't got round to calling a granite supplier but in the meantime the mark has mostly disappeared & just looks like a variation on the marbling...I don't think anyone else would notice it at all...phew! Odd though...
