Cost of Rewiring a 4 bedroom house in Reigate?

Hello,

I'm buying my first house in Reigate. Has anyone had rewiring done recently and could you give me an idea of how much it cost you and if you would recommend a particular builder to do the job? Must it be done before we move in or can it be done while we're inhabiting the house?

We are near Reigate and had ours partially rewired, but it was done in stages, and while we were living in the house. It is difficult to give an idea of cost as it depends on what needs doing - you'd be best getting a couple of estimates.
