Moving to Nairn, Scotland

Hi there

I currently live in Glasgow and am thinking of moving to Nairn for my DH's job. I've been to Nairn and it's totally lush but two things are holding me back from going for it.

  1. Are the schools any good? The HMIE reports for the primary schools and secondary school doesn't look great. but I know schools change and these reports only tell you so much.

  2. How easy is it to make new friends? I work from home (part time) and have two little ones (3 and 4 months). There is so much to do in Glasgow and it's so easy to meet people - I'm worried I might be a bit isolated in Nairn.

If anyone can help - I'd be sooo grateful as I really don't know what to do.

Thanks

It's definitely North! I was up there in 2011 (went up by train). Can't help you much regarding Nairn, but remember you're no distance from Inverness which has loads going on.
