any good builders to do loft conversion in London?

We are busting out of the seems of our two bedroom flat in Finsbury Park but cannot afford to move. So a loft conversion seems the best option. But I'm worried about who does it as have had bad experience with builders before. Can any one recommend good architects / builders they've used to do conversions or similar, preferably in North London? Thanks very much.

John Dutton and Partners in Ealing did ours - 12 years ago now. They weren't the cheapest quote we had but were excellent. They are loft specialists, but are not one of those companies who send out a flashy salesman - or at least they didn't in those days!

if your still looking - have used these guys before for stuff- although not a loft and they were fab, and more than happy for us to check out other work they were doing/had done..

Hi not sure if this thread is still live and you are looking for some pointers but we had a very bad experience with builders who left us in a right mess after a bit of searching we came across O`Neills who came in sorted out the mess which was our two room loft conv. and left us with a fantastic living space only wish we had found them at the start of the job would have saved a lot of time, money and stress! message me if you want contact details D.T
