I can't believe I even know what this means....you learn so much when renovating a house!
Basically, we have dug a basement and our builder has now asked us whether we want metal or wooden wall studs (the vertical supports for the plasterboard I believe). Most walls have wooden and this is strong and means it is easy to hang things on the wall. The benefit of having metal is they are smaller so we will gain something like 4 or 5 extra inches width in each room (which is very tempting). I have done some research online and views are mixed...wondering if any of you have any experience and can tell us what it is like?
Many thanks for any help!
