Vertical Radiators

Plan to replace our old radiator in the lounge with a funky new vertical one. Seen one we like but cant decide between Black and Polished chrome ?? Either would work in the room.

If you have polished chrome it will be like putting a mirror there, so consider:
grubby/sticky fingerprints will be very visible
reflected sunlight - will it reflect onto your tv/into your eyes at the dinner table etc, so you will need to keep closing the curtains at tea/breakfast time etc

also - you won't have a handy drying place for wet gloves when the kids have been out in the snow!

They look great but you do need to consider positioning for reflections.

We have 2 chrome ones which are dead easy to wipe down once a week.

No fingerprints - kids are told to keep away from all radiators anyway, they are too small to know what is/isn't too hot!
