We are thinking of getting a Chesney Beaumont 8 kw stove.I love the white but is it a practical colour?.The alternative is a bronze sprayed one which the shop is willing to do for me [a Charnwood colour].The stove will be the focal point as we are removing the old fire surround [which i think is very ornate gothic repro] and will see what state the bricks are [or will plaster and maybe an oak beam].The house is an Edwardian with most of the original features and i am concerned with the look of the fireplace and it fitting in with the house and furniture.Has anyone any experience?

why not black?

A stove the colour of soot and dirt is easiest to look after,

I quite like the dark-coloured vitreous-enamelled French stoves though.

How hard and glossy will this bronze paint be?

GOd dont get white unless you love cleaning!
Bronze sounds nice, do you have a link?

I just typed out a message and then lost it!.Its the charnwood bronze colour. The online picture is not very representative though.Sorry Pannacotta i can't link as my laptop is down.I've had to order a Chesney Salisbury 8 kw as i would have to wait too long for any other model.I still really love the white but i agree it is probably totally impractical as i hate cleaning.
Piglet its a dark bronze flecked matte colour. In fact all the the stove colours are pretty muted -even the blues/greens /silvers.It definitely will not show the soot i hope.On a sunny day the light will catch the stove and look pretty i think.

I wanted a deep blue enamel one when we went looking for ours, I ended up with a flat black. I wouldn't go white, they get pretty dusty the bronze would hide it better.
