hi
we are finally having our bathroom refitted - went to order suite, ceiling, floor and tiles today and illuminated mirrors caught my eye....we are having fitted furniture so everything will be built in - no need for a bathroom cabinet but we will need a mirror.

the sales person suggested getting an illuminated mirror, but in their catalogue the cheapest started at £199!

ive seen others online cheaper....but they are still expensive for what they are. Is it worth doing? i would need to let the fitter know.

ta.

I prefer the look of wall lights flanking the mirror above the basin and this is good for shaving or putting on make up but this would not be a cheap option either.

WHat sort off mirror have you seen?

sherbetpips · 07/01/2013 20:58

Sod whether it is naff or not. If the extra light would be useful then go ahead. No point having a pretty mirror if you can't see yourself in it. Great for doing eyebrows, squeezing spots, etc....

Depends on the mirror, but I can tell you that a heated mirror is fabulous, so def go for one of those

Depends on the light in the bathroom. My parents don't have an illuminated mirror because it is next to the window. When we have our bathroom fitted, we will cause it is in a darkish corner.

or simply place the mirror above a radiator

ThatVikRinA22 · 07/01/2013 22:56

thanks.

the mirror would likely be opposite the window - its a very sunny south facing bathroom but the mirror will be on the darkest wall....might go for it then - seen that often they are "steam free" which would be fab....

i think i will get one of the internet and just get hte fitter to fit it and do the electrics - he is doing all the spot lights anyway so shouldnt be much more work.

Do you use a rechargeable toothbrush? We got an illuminated mirror because it had a shaver socket, from Argos

Yorky · 08/01/2013 16:08
