Acronyms

Excuse me for being ignorant..... I am new to the website.
I have seen many acronyms like DC, DD etc ... flying around.
Can someone please tell me what these are.

Hi CEvert.. Basically these are people connected to the poster and the first 'D' stands for 'Dear'' So:
DH = Dear Husband
DC = Dear Child(ren)
DM = Dear Mother
DF = Dear Father or Dear Fiancé or Dear Friend depending on context.

And so on and so forth..

I had the same issue when I first joined but like to think I have picked them up now. Other ones you might see are:

SAHM = stay at home mum
DD = dear daughter if there is a number after it e.g. DD1 it means the first daughter etc.

There is also an Acronym link to explain all/most along the talk line just above the blue topic logo (if that makes any sense at all to you!).
