Anyone recommend a removal firm - London?

We have decided to splash out and get full packing service. Moving about 15 miles from West to South East London.

The buying /selling process has been very stressful so far so I just want the move to go smoothly! I just wondered if anyone had any recommendations and rough cost. We have a large 2 bed flat and a shed bursting with crap

Thanks

These chaps moved us in August - it was £750 including packing for a two bedroom terraced house and huge shed (we did put the contents of the shed into big plastic stack boxes though, as I didn't want the shame of them packing it). I couldn't fault them, they came and packed on a Sunday as our move was on a Monday.

simplyremovals-px.rtrk.co.uk/Default.aspx

we did our own packing, but they were a good price, careful, turned up on time and did a masterly job putting our stuff into a not quite big enough storage unit.

if you can avoid moving on a Friday it is always cheaper.

We used Roberts and Denny's based in South East London. They were very good and significantly cheaper than some of the other firms who quoted.

We used Smile Removals as recommended here on MN and they were fabulous - very reasonable quote and nothing broken. And we had a LOT of clutter, much more than they anticipated (and us too!!) Not sure I can find the URL now though, maybe somebody else will be along later with it!

Twas me that recommended smile moves here and that post links to original post.

Their website is here

I would recommend F Smith and Son: www.fsmithandson.co.uk/

We have used them twice in recent years and were excellent - on time, friendly, nothing as broken and they rejigged furniture around whilst we decided where to put things.

Just wanted to feedback. We went with F Smith and Son in the end. Thanks for the recommendations.

They were fantastic - polite and friendly and made the day extremely stress free.

Highly recommend.
