Crouch End? North London advice needed

Can anyone tell mw more about living in Crouch End or Finsbury Park. My husband and I would like to move to one of these areas. We like Crouch End but he needs to be able to get to a tube easily for Kings Cross. Finsbury Park is a good location but it all looks a but 'run down' and as we want to start a family, schools may soon be a concern. Any info/suggestions would be great. How do people who live in crouch end get to the tube?

Ah, you can't force these things. Sometimes you just don't click. There were a couple places I lived in London that just never felt right and I couldn't tell you why.

If your husband says he's happy to commute then take him at his word. Although this could be another reason to rent at first, so you can experiment with different commuting options and he can make sure he's really ok with it.

And do try to stop thinking that your husband's job and needs come before your own happiness! Whatever the job situation outside the house, you are equals inside your relationship, so don't sell yourself short.
