Which wall tiles?

New kitchen going in, so I can't yet post a picture. Units are off white (oyster) shaker style. Floor is black slate laid like this
Worktop is dark grey laminate (no more money in budget for lovely granite!)
What wall tiles should we have? There'd is no other colour so I was thinking green/blue like this only our floor is much more new looking and regular so would brick tiles in the same pattern look silly? Should I go for square wall tiles instead? I do like the retro look,ESP as the house is 1930s...
TIA!

I think those tiles are lovely and I wouldn't worry about the floor. I think it will look really nice!

I had those in my kitchen with that floor but the floor wasn't laid brick style it was totally square. I think it may initially look a bit busy but I think in time you wouldn't notice it.

this kitchen has white subway tile and slate floor, and looks fab, I think yours will too

Thank you everyone! Think we will go for subway tiles. Am ridiculously excited to move back home to our lovely new extension!
Has anyone used crackle glaze tiles in kitchen? Is sealing them enough to keep them from getting stained etc?
