thestoveyard.com - Anyone used them? Where to buy woodburning stove?

I want to order our wood burning stove and have been looking online. So far our chosen stove (Morso Squirrel) seems to be cheapest at thestoveyard.com. Stovesrus offer to match any quote but a quick google suggests that they aren't great.

Has anyone got any experience of the Stove Yard or any other online stove seller?
thanks

I used www.stovesite.co.uk recently. They were great - I actually called to get the price of my stove and did it over the phone in the end. The best price by a mile and (free) delivery was 2 days quicker than expected, Rosemary was really helpful on the phone. Their shop name is Manor House Fireplaces.

It's being fitted this weekend! I can't wait.

Great, thanks Sticki. I'll check them out.

Ooh very Envy that you're getting your stove fitted this weekend. Our stove fitter has promised that we'll have it in by Christmas, so I'm really excited!

Did you have to have the whole chimney lined etc?ours is a working fireplace already but being put off by the expense of chimney inspection and lining.

Coconutfeet · 09/12/2012 21:58

Yes, we're about to have it done. Got to have a raised hearth built too. It is bloody expensive and feels like a real luxury, but I'm hoping it'll change the whole feel of our front room and I'm sure we'll use it a lot.
One of the stove guys I spoke to mentioned that you can get some stoves that don't require a chimney lining but he said he wouldn't recommend it.

My parents went from an open fireplace to a stove and it has totally changed the feel of the room. It feels cleaner now, and cosier, and oh my god, does that thing belt out heat. I would kill for one, but we don't even have a fireplace :(

Ah, slight problem there, unrequitedskink. Smile We've got a list as long as your arm of other stuff that needs doing to the house, but we decided that this would probably give us the most pleasure.

I can't wait to be toasty warm. Dp's brother has got one and apparently their neighbours turn off their heating when they hear him lighting the stove.

Oh and incidentally Woodburner Warehouse is coming up with the best price and online reviews seem to be OK so I think we're going with them.
