Just a heads up to all those renovating etc
I got a call at 6.30pm from my son telling me our local comet were selling everyrthing except tv and laptops of for half price.
I bought an indesit oven, cermaic hob and stainless steel chimney hood for £260.00
Beko American side by side fridge freezer for £299.00
Hoover washerdryer for £129.00
Isis slimline dishwasher for £90.00
Great as we have just bought a doa-upper and putting new kitchen in!
Get down there tomorrow as the store closes on Monday!

All well and good t ograb a bargain - but you'd better hope nothing goes wrong with them in the next couple of months...

Shouldn't be a problem though - you've still the manufacturer's warranty? In fact (apart from Amazon) I've very rarely returned to retailers, always found it more straightforward to go direct.

Did you have to take all those away there and then?
I need appliances but wouldn't be able to take them away.... Wouldn't trust Comet to deliver given their current circumstances!

Ooohh-I can't wait to go to my local comet in the morning and see if its 50% off there.

Need a washer dryer. And could do with a fridge.

Selks - yes you do have to take them away there and then!
we really struggled to get them in our large van, have to say the comet staff went way beyond the call of duty helping us.
They even unscrewed the doors with their tool kits to get the side by side in. we didn't leave the carpark until 9.40pm and the store shut at 8pm.
These guys don't have a job after Monday either.

I am gutted, I bought the same fidge/freezer for £530 last week and had it delivered yesterday. Don't need anything else either because have bought everything we need for our house now.
