at picture 9, that's an amazing room. It does look as though it's a nicely proportioned house.
There are signs of some serious damp, in picture 7 particularly. There are no pictures of the garden, and no mention of there being one at all in the details. It's listed, so likely to be expensive and bureaucratically time-consuming if you do any work to it.
I wonder if it might one of those seaside towns that used to have lots of B&Bs for holiday makers and now the B&Bs are being used as emergency housing. In which case there won't be a lot of money around and the shops (or lack of them) are likely to reflect that. I don't know that part of the UK at all.
