Bloody IKEA wardrobes, bloody wall. Please help. Anyone?

So.. My daughter's bedroom wall is looking like it s had a round of gunfire. I ve drilled so many holes in the partition wall to try and fix the IKEA wardrobe carcass to it... It s just not working. The plugs just dont seem to work. Is there some strong glue that will stop them coming out? I guess the carcass is quite heavy and needs something strong to fix it to

Another one saying plasterboard plugs or universal plugs that will do either.

Or find a stud within the wall and attach it to that.

The plasterboard ones 'open up' behind the board once you push them through. Yes the carcass is heavy but the weight of the wardrobe shouldn't be pulling on the rawlplugs. The frame should be properly supported on the floor. I find it helps to wedge something (long strip of cardboard) under the front edge of the wardrobe so it is very slightly leaning backwards rather than forwards.

We have had new Ikea wardrobes in two rooms recently. both very tall - I think the tallest size. We had to make sure that they stood sturdily enough on their own, the fastening to the wall is just for extra security.

And yy to the plasterboard rawl plugs.

And be aware - if you push the wardrobes back against the skirting board the back part will be sitting on the gripper rod under the carpet - this maybe why you are having problems. You may need a baton on the wall behind the wardrobe so you can pull the wardrobe forward a bit.
