Between 3 and 4 k from memory

We paid £4.5k for new boiler, re routing of pipes, new pipes and new radiators. 3 bed semi. Oh and removal of water tank.

Hmm last year we paid 3k for removal of back boiler, water tank from attic, new combi boiler, 4 new radiators and new pipe work laid. So I would say around 2-3 depending where you live. We are up north so it's most definately cheaper than down south

east midlands, mum has this week paid 1.7k for removal of back boiler, new combi boiler in different place, resiting of hot water tank,

we had our hot water tank & boiler replaced last winter & I think it was just over £2k for supply & install. It was a Vaillant boiler. Plumbcentre & similar websites have the prices of the actual boilers & water tanks so you can get a feel for the price of those.

Think it depends on where you live. My neighbour had a new boiler only, with £200 discount for being a pensioner, from British Gas - £2,500 3 years ago

They would have charged £400 LESS for a combi-boiler, which needs no water tanks.

digerd · 24/11/2012 20:52

ps. we live in the south - definately more expensive here

I'm in the NE of Scotland and I have just paid £3650 for a new boiler and replaced 5 new radiators. I had another quote for £3500 and another for £4100 using the old thermostats.

If you get a combo boiler you don't have a hot water tank
