Arghhh! I knew this would happen...teeny, tiny cloakroom sink suggestions please

Downstairs loo finally installed. The room itself if teeny - not much we could do about it/can do about it now. Door will open outwards. But the sink I had got is just too big - would overhang your knee when sitting . I always knew this room would be less than ideal (and is only for weeing in so can live with it to a degree - but not this much!)

So...need to rethink. Current sink is 54cm x 25cm . So not massive...but I need smaller please.

Had anyone been through this? Any insights? DH has suggested we get builder to recess the sink into the stud wall - which even if only a little bit would give us a bit more wiggle room - but am struggling to find recessed sinks which are narrower than about 38cm....so wouldn't actually gain anything!

My parents have their big toilet sink above the toilet tank mounted to the back wall, because they did not see the point of teeny tiny sink where even one hand hardly fits. They lean sideways through the toilet to wash their hands or brush teeth. It is weird when you think of that, but the alternative was no sink. This never caused us any inconvenience and the plumbing was easy peasy.

Thank you for your suggestions - loo already installed and no space to use the cistern for a sink. Sunshine - did you get this - have seen this and think it is the smallest so far - is it OK - not "too" small IYSWIM?

my problem with that amelie one = where do you put the soap .....
that is why I like corner ones - as the soap hides behind the tap
and make the rad be a towel rail to free up more space ...

I got the second one. Cheaper. 30cm not 35cm but 2cm wider!

Just tested it (same size as a cereal packet) and looks perfect - the fact it is rounded as well means there is no corner to lurk over knees. Oh I love Mumsnet.

It arrived today. Looks so....cute and funky. It is tiny but in a kind of stylish way. If you have to have a teeny, tiny one is is great to have one that at least looks like it may have been a design choice rather than a Oh fuck it is too small in here for something normal. I would never have found it without you

I had the same problem and ended up with a similar sink to the one you ordered.

It looks great but it is rubbish to use. I think our water pressure is too high for such a small sink. You have to just turn the tap on at a trickle or the water sort of rebounds off the sink and splashes everywhere.

Obviously you need to have a sink for building regs but I try and encourage people, especially children, to use the kitchen sink.

I love the toilet sink combo unit. I may try and use that in my new extension.

I did have that concern about the water pressure. I may ask the builder if we can do something to restrict it.

I nearly got the sink and loo combo. It is a brilliant design (and reduced to 199 in b and q) but it only has cold water, and you can only turn the tap on by flushing. I am sure there is a market for a small sink sort of perched on top of the cistern.

Very useful thread- I've got a tiny tiny 80cm x 105cm cupboard / soon to be toilet room. Was going to order the one from bathroom heaven until I realised the delivery cost would be £40 to receive within 1 week. The eBay sink is better shape, half the price and delivery free for 4-5 day delivery / £8 delivery for 2 day delivery. I'll make sure water pressure is low. Thank you very much for the advice :-).
