thanks to MNetters great tips on moving am now moved into our (still not quite finished) house without loss of sanity...so thanks v much!! Thanks

and alas more wisdom please? trying to choose front door colour and really want something which is definitely not black but doesn't look grey either. having read through a few threads i'm now weighing up F&B railings v off black
the door is surrounded by a natural dark wood frame (it's a small 60-70s build brick house)

would appreciate any experienced comments please...

If you google for "what your front door colour says about you" you will find some interesting comments.

also do people paint the insides of front doors same as outside? ours literally opens into our lounge which has little greene mid clay on walls. would you stick to lighter colour front door on inside??

too many decisions (though lovely) Smile

I don't think F&B really works on modern houses (at least, not their heritage-y colours). I'd paint it bright yellow.

My front door is railings, I love it, beautiful grey/blue/black. And the inside of it is off white to match all the other doors in the hall.

The inside does not match the outside, it matches the internal doors in the hall.
Blues go with brick and with the natural dark wood (which I think is a bit of a problem for railings)

We too have railings. Love it.

thanks for posting everyone...
7to25 what colours do you mean? dark blues? any blue... i had also thought about the rather popular greyishgreen but not sure it won't wear on me quickly...
