Please can you Help me replace my toilet seat?

I have a Sottini brand toilet, but cannot work out what model (it was in the house when we moved in). The seat is pretty manky, and now the hinge between the cover and the actual seat has broken so I would like the replace the whole seat unit (not just the hinge).

Anyway there seem to be be lots of different designs of Sottini toilet pan and the shape is obviously non-standard. How do I work out what seat to order, or am I going to be reduced to taking the seat off and taking it with me to a bathrooms retailer?!

www.goodwoodbathrooms.co.uk/loo_seats/purchase_m.php
This any good for you? They have Sottini and lots of shapes.

that's a great website, thank you. Still cannot identify which one ours is though. But they do make to order if you make a template. But Shock at the prices!

Oh...didn't look at the prices. Think of the adage about pounds per wear for a winter coat? But more of a pounds per poo....Grin

Shock

prob cheaper to get a new loo fitted! Wink

Grin at pounds per poo. DH certainly will get good value for money from it! I have googled extensively, and these are round about the going rates for these sorts of seats. I am not getting a new loo having just had a new bathroom floor though! Going to have to take the bastard thing off and show it to a bathroom showroom aren't I? Or make a template and post it to Goodwood.

Fuck me. Sorry. Just looked. Hope it is bloody comfortable. Actually no. Hope it is not comfortable....we all know what Dhs are like..."yep...I'll do it in a minute...I am just going for a poo first.".....half an hour later. Maybe you could ask them to make one that has small electirc shocks in it after 5 minutes....that will stop the tarrying Grin And for those prices should be part of the price!

bonzo77 · 19/11/2012 22:54

for those prices it should sing and dance, make cups of tea, have a pre-heat function for me and DS and as you say an electric or even ejector function for DH. Part of me is thinking about just taking the lid off, but that is a bit grim. Or just getting new hinges, but the seat is a bit (ahem) stained.

Ladies, I have had a small measure of success. I took the seat to the local plumbers merchant who had one for £132 inc vat. So hardly cheap but much better than I feared. I just fitted it and shall christen it shortly (no way is anyone else getting that pleasure).
