So I want to restore some furniture

What do I do?!

I have 4 pine chairs which are quite scratched (cosmetic only, not deep damage) and one with a loose seat.

I would love to restore them and change the finish from "orange" pine to a cream colour.

How do I do it?! Bear in mind I have never done any DIY. Ever!

No need to prep wood, just make sure it's really clean.

Don't know anything about loose seat, sorry.

Shall google the paint- I think the loose seat can be solved with carpenters nails.
