Costs of moving please

Hi

Am looking at buying next year and wondered what costs we need to function in.

House will be around 200k so what will the stamp duty be?

Also what is average for solicitor fees?

And what have i not considered?

Stamp Duty is 1% on 200k

If you are buying and selling Sols fees will be more than 1k. Some conveyancer websites will give you a free quote.

Removals can be more than 1k dependent on how much stuff you have, and how far you are moving.

Mortgage Fee - Could be anything from £99 to £2500

Searches & Disbursements - Could add up to around £750

Survey - Anything from £200 - £775 for a property of 200k (esurv - very widely used)

Don't forget to budget in lock changes and stuff like that.

Will be just buying so sol fees may be less i suppose.
No mortgage so will save on those too.

Will have to look into surveys nearer the time.
