we are negotiting to buy a house and would like to refit the bathrooms. The first bathroom has a bathtub, toilet and sink. We want to do a straight replacement without any layout changes, plus wall and floor tiling. The second is a shower+toilet+sink. Again straight replacement plus tiling. How much should we budget for all included?

I think its very difficult to say without knowing what kind of fittings you'd want - am sure you can get a bathroom suite from B&Q for about £200, an extra £100 for taps etc and budget tiles. Am guessing you could probably do both for about £3k if you were bargain hunting and found a local reasonably-priced tradesman. If think if you wanted top of the range luxurious fittings / tiles, you could easily spend £10-15k?!

We've just had ours done. Have paid £1800 for the fitting including all tiling and electrics. Our bathroom is probably about 3m by 3m. The price will vary according to size. And where you live. We're in the midlands.

This was the cheapest quote we got. The bathroom was from the bathstore and cost just under £1000. The shower was another £100 and we bought the tiles with tesco vouchers.

I'd really recommend you don't get a mega cheap bathroom suite. We moved Into a house with a cheapo one and it was total rubbish. We've had to replace it just two years later.

Hope it goes well.
