Where would you put pictures / stuff on this wall?

That's it really. The main wall in our family room needs brightening up.

It looks so bland and dull but everytime I go to hang pictures etc I worry that it will just look stupid with all the doors and TV etc.

Am I being an idiot?

What would you do?

i would mark out 3 "frames" in masking tape on the wall, then get lots of family snaps, put them in a variety of frames (different sizes) inside the masking tape. You then break up the expanse of wall, without it looking too random.

Ooh that could look good. I think it's balancing out the TV which worries me - especially as I think I'd need to hang them higher than usual (regular source of conflict in our house!).

I'm over thinking aren't I.
