What is Staines-upon-Thames like?

Just that really. What's it like for professional married couple possibly with kids on the way in the not too distant future

It depends what u want. Decentish shopping centre close to the river, easy to get to London. But IMO there are other places that I would choose in Surrey.

I used to live near by in Egham, which has more of a village feel. Staines is a bit meh.
