What have we done!

Just realising quite how much work we've set ourselves up for...
We're buying a house (yay!) that needs complete doing up, we currently live in rented (5weeks left on lease).
We should get the keys today, it's within walking distance from where we live (about 39 minutes) because we have loaned our car to family who need it more (!)
We have dd 14 months, dh works full time and I am 8weeks pregnant.
This is going to be hard work isn't it!

What work am I not allowed to do? (any?!)

Oh that sounds wonderful. Hopefully all will go well with the keys and then someone will be able to get on with the work.

We've just done the same - place needs building work and utter graft, no time to do it, baby.

No reason you couldn't paint with non-toxic paint/do the garden with gardening gloves on etc. I think you have to pace yourselves and accept it takes a long time, but always be getting on with a job.
