Fired Earth paint

I'm planning to decorate our kitchen and have been looking at Fired Earth paint for the walls as there are some lovely natural colours. Has anyone used them and how do they compare to Farrow & Ball in terms of coverage and durability?

I have used them and prefer the finish to F&B, bit tougher IMO.
I love the colours too, they have some lovely greys and greens.

That's great to hear that you think that they are a bit tougher. I've been looking at oak apple, it looks like it will be good for disguising finger marks!

My builder loves FE paint, he uses it in his own house. He much prefers it to F&B (and in fact stopped me buying F&B for the banisters as he said it's not tough enough). I love the colours too. We've got oak apple on a kitchen cabinet, it's gorgeous.

Hi Daisy that's very reassuring, it was a toss up between F & B's bone (which we have on the hall, stairs and landing) or oak apple. Going to go with oak apple

How funny, I just bought a sample of Oak Apple yesterday, looks like a good colour.

Great finish and coverage. Very durable and although Fired Earth don't say so it is vipable.

I had my hallways painted with F&B (elephants breath) and my new kitchen and dining room in Fired Earth (Basswood). And a year on the hallways need repainting and the kitchen dining room looks freshly done despite the removal of old kitchen and installation of new kitchen (and lots of dust).

Without a doubt FE is the most durable I have ever come across in terms of matt finish paint.

I could not recommend anything else in terms of matt emulsion. I still like F&B's eggshell but FE eggshell is lovely too.

Amazing! Love Fired Earth, and definitely think the finish is better than F&B. Oak Apple is a lovely colour by the way, we have it in our living room and it looks fab.
