Definitely black rather than silver.. It'll have much more appearance.

I think that's what I'm nervous about but you're right. You can't really ' disappear' a black range cooker can you?

Why would you want to 'disappear' it? It should be a feature. I definitely don't think a silver one would look anywhere near as good with those colours..

DowagersHump · 22/10/2012 20:18

I think black would look better. But my range cooker is black and I really like it :)

Autumnmumm · 22/10/2012 20:23

You're right. It should be a feature. I've never had a range before, they seem enormous.

I would need a hood too. Guess that should be black too...

I usually stick to pale colours. Was thinking white tiles with grey grout or grey tile with white and maybe some sort of cool grey green for walls.

Black black black. I have the mercury one in black and it's boootiful.

BrianButterfield · 22/10/2012 21:31

I have a black one and you definitely don't want it to disappear!

Autumnmumm · 22/10/2012 21:39

What brand is your mercury? I've been looking at stoves. And leisure ones. Undecided between 100cm and 90cm...

Mine is a Leisure (worst brand name in history - what kind of leisure involves 3 ovens and a 5 ring hob? :o)
