WICKFORD ANYONE ?

Hi, can anyone tell me the areas to avoid in Wickford please, Thanks.

Hiya, I live in Wickford. There are several different areas - you have got the Wick or Wick Meadows which is a new estate so all new builds, two primary schools but from what I hear they are very oversubscribed so dont know if this is a factor for you. You have the Beauchamps/Shotgate area, very nice, lots of different styles of houses, near the park, near a primary and secondary school. Then you have the area round Bromfords school at the other end of town, again very nice tree lined aveneues. Then you have Runwell, which is also nice. The two areas I personally would avoid, but only because I find them a bit run down is a small area round Haslemere road/Alderney Gdns and also the area round Stevenson way/Thakeray row (a lot of houses close together in walkways) . But there are no 'bad' areas really, Wickford is a pleasant, safe town and all the schools are pretty good as well.
