Rough cost for removal service?

We're about to exchange contracts, and I have just realised that I have completely forgotten to put removals costs into our budget!

We'll be making calls tomorrow, but in the meantime.... we've got a 3 bed house and we're moving less than 5 miles away, in the West Midlands. Anyone done similar recently? If so, how much did you pay?

We're talking about one of those deals where we pack, some people come and put it all into a big van while we watch, then the reverse at the other end.

We just arranged to pay £600 for that although we are moving further away (1 hour) . Hope it helps

We moved from a two bed house to our new home and it cost us around £300 inc a guy to pack the day before.

That was travelling less than two miles btw.

100 miles large 4 bed house and shed = between £900 and £1800
