Would we be sensible to wait for the plastering to be finished before we lay the engineered Oak Floor?

Just that really. Wood being delivered tomorrow but could sit for while . Is going all over downstairs. Plastering finished downstairs but they are now doing upstairs...and we have no internal doors yet.

Plastering is a really horrible messy job, it gets everywhere. Do the floor last.

Plastering causes lots of moisture. Best to wait until walls have dried out and floor has acclimatised before you lay it. I know engineered isn't supposed to expand as much as solid wood but I wouldn't risk it.

In short - yes. Wait and keep the timber in a dry well ventilated room to avoid causing problems with it warping etc.
