Cream kitchen, white washing machine; what colour should other appliances be?

We are about to purchase a new kitchen. I know I want a cream kitchen with wooden effect laminate worktops (would love wood but the upkeep is unrealistic given my lifestyle) and I'm stuck with a white washerdryer as it was only purchased last Christmas.

My feeling is white appliances aren't great with a cream kitchen. I could go for an integrated dishwasher and fridgefreezer but I've also heard there can be problems with the way the cupboards hang over a period of time, so I'm swinging back to stand alone appliances.

Can I get away with stainless steel with my white washerdryer or should I stick to white?

We have a cream kitchen with laminate oak effect worktops. I dislike integrated appliances for reasons you state. All ours are white and look fine- id never even thought about them not fitting in.

Thank you for replying.

I'm glad you have no concerns over the white/cream combo. Is your oven white too?

IMHE washer dryers do not last very long (3 yrs?) and definitely not as long as a kitchen. So get the other appliances in whatever colour you like and the washer dryer will eventually catch up!

Good point NotAnother, I hadn't thought of that!

IMO
I think it is really fine to mix and match appliances so any of your suggestions would look ok. It is also ok to have white appliances with a cream kitchen. I have never heard of problems with the doors of intergrated appliances though.
You could, for example have a white fridge, dishwasher and washing machine and then have a stainless steel oven.... It will look absolutely fine.

My personal choice would be to keep the white washing machine and have all the other appliances in stainless steel or intergrated

Stainless steel oven and hood. All looks fine together!

We've got a cream kitchen with a white dishwasher but a black cooker. Looks fine to me!
