What colour shall I paint my bedroom?

Thinking about doing our bedroom soon. It's the same colour it was when we moved in 4 years ago - sort of mushroom/beige. The bedroom faces north. The curtains are cream. My bedlinen is all ancient and various colours. The bed is pine. I am thinking of getting a new bed soon, just need to persuade dh.

What colour would you go for? Dh won't contemplate anything pinkish. I am tempted by some sort of orange.......

If you like orange how about these curtains then a feature wall like this followed by other main walls in this.

Bedding could pick any colour that you fancy.

Burnt orange with charcoal grey?

Olive with mustard?

Burnt Orange - definately appeals. I like that Farrow and Ball colour too. dd1 and dd2's rooms have feature walls though. Won't it look like I have no other ideas? Or is it always a good idea
