Which f&b colour

Hi,

I've bought a few samples but can't seem to make my mind up so I'm hoping someone whose used f&b colours can help or anyone who's good at putting colours together.

I'm papering one wall in my dining room with this paper, I've tried some colours to match the cream/greyish stripe on the wallpaper. It matches quite well but I'm worried that as I have a cream gloss kitchen it will make the cupboards look yucky yellow. The cupboards are a clotted creamy colour. What neutral colour can I use which matches the paper but doesn't clash with the cupboards? Or am I just panicking. Btw it's an east facing room.

Joas White?
I have used it in my kitchen with off white cupboards, kitchen runs the whole length of the house, so starts off South facing and ends North, looks good at either end.

The units you have look slightly more cream than mine, but the wallpaper stripe colour next to the grey looks similar in colour. I used pointing for ceiling and woodwork.

Thanks hairy, does the Joan's look white on the wall or a particular tone iykwim.

Is it the green / pink colourway in the paper?

Cornforth White would be good with the paper, or if you wanted something more subtle, Skimming Stone.

Personally, I wouldn't go for Joa's White - too warm against the paper I think.

If you look on the internet, find a F&B stockist close to you. Any of the independents (i.e. not Homebase) usually have someone who can give good advice, and you can bring a sample of paper in, along with photos of the room.

I always buy my paint at the interior design shop ten miles away, rather than Homebase, which is 2 miles away, because of the advice they give.

Beryl, I tried the skimming stone sample and that was the one that matched the wallpaper perfectly, but I worried it was too cold looking and would look odd against the cupboards. I also tried elephants breath but that was too dark.

I bought the samples and the wallpaper from an independent decorating store so maybe I will have to go there for some advice. I just don't want to paint it all and then decide it looks blurgh.

There is a creamy stripe in that wallpaper that is the same colour as Ringwould Ground. Also looks similar to your cupboards.

Might be worth a go. I like the paper btw - I had some similar once, it was lovely. I suspect the new owners of that house painted straight over it!
