Sources for "Georgian" door furniture?

Brass roman numerals in particular are proving difficult. I need big ones with hidden fixings. My local posh ironmongers sells Xs but not Is and are trying to tell me that everyone just uses a 1 for an I. The 1s are clearly 1s - can this possibly be true?

SDS has pin fix numerals (so hiddin fixings) and say that letters are available to order.
