Patterned curtains. Walls need to be plain?

Trying to finish my dining room. Bought curtains last year. They are a goldish-taupish colour with red flowers on. Nicer than they sound honest!

Floor is dark wood.

Walls currently magnolia (yuck).

Options are obviously to paint or wallpaper. Was thinking of a plainish paper with some texture or shimmer. But saw a lovely wallpaper today that I would love. It's www.wallpaperdirect.co.uk/products/little-greene/trellis-bamboo/65961 this one.

Any thoughts?

Lovely paper, though it is quite a regular repeat so potentially could look a bit fussy with patterend fabric.
Sounds like it could work, bit hard to tell without seeing the curtain fabric. Can you link to that?
Which colour paper were you looking at?

Can't link fabric I'm afraid. Would go for the color shown in main pic.

Half of me thinks it could look good but other half thinks it could look horrendous.

You could always order a few samples of the paper (on different occasions), stick them together to form a good sized section of wallpaper and pin up on the wall and then hang your curtains.
That way you will see if it works and you like it.

I think I can get away with a pattern but not flowers. It will be far too busy.

Wish I hadn't rushed into the curtains now. And they were expensive so I'm stuck with them.

Oh well. We live and learn!

You could always use the paper somewhere else if you love it, perhaps in the downstairs loo, always a good place to use wallpaper.
YOu could paint/paper the dining rooms walls in a lovely dark gold or red colour to bring our the colours in the curtain fabric. SOunds like you have a sophisticated scheme in mind.
