Hi wondered if anyone could help, looking to move away from Enfield to Essex. Need to commute into London. Golden list needs to be near good secondary schools and open space. Budget £375000 with 4 beds - that's it!
Any ideas would be helpful as I'm not sure of area.
Someone suggested Witham, wasn't sure though on secondary schools any info?

colchester has the best schools top grammers in the country!! so any of the surround areas that feed into colchester would be good. depends what you are looking for north essex is quite rural but with smaller towns , some bigger towns like colchester or chelmsford etc. how far north do you want to go and are you looking to live in a big town

I live in Colchester and my husband commutes to London, it's about 50 minutes to Liverpool St.

Think that the best state secondary is currently Stanway, you'll get a 4 bed for that money there fairly easily, don't know how easy it is to get a place in the school though.

I really like Chelmsford but it's got really expensive recently.

Also living in Colchester and really hoping the Grammar will still be there when my DS (only 16 mths so far Grin) needs it ... Have friends in Witham who said schools are v hit and miss and involve driving. Commute is fine, can get one stop trains into Liv St for 50 mins but is 4.5k
