Shower enclosure- tiled or pre-fab?

Thoughts please.

Current tiled unit is a neo-angled design in a tiny en-suite. Water got behind the grout so I need a repair done. I'm wondering what's the pros and cons of the options.

We have prefab here and I love it, so easy to clean, ours still shines like new. Bare in mind there used to be 4 adults in the house and daily showers, not just three of us 2 adults 1 child.
I hate hate hate grout, I hate cleaning it and hate the nasty crap that grows in it, even with lots of frequent cleaning. Our old house had tiles and I was glad to see the back of it.

For the tile-less: what's behind your shower enclosure, painted walls or something else? My entire en-suite is tiled. I am clueless of the options...

Not sure, the builders put it in when the house was built. from what Dh says it's a special wall board stuff back there, something to do with in case it gets wet! Still not sure.
