Downstairs radiators not working

The heating hasn't been on in a while and now that it is none of the downstairs ones have come on, whilst the upstairs ones are working fine.

House now sold and will complete this Tuesday - feeling slightly bad about leaving this as a problem but also too busy packing to find a Plumber, annoyingly I just cancelled my boiler insurance.

Any one have any clues as to what's wrong?

it might be that the pump is not working (1) at all or (2) properly. Heat can rise to upstairs rads without needing to be pumped. In this case the rads nearer the boiler will get hotter than the further ones.

If you have thermostatic radiator valves they may have jammed shut.

Maybe someone went round and turned them off.

You can try bleeding the rads but that is unlikely to help.
