We are building an open plan kitchen/living/dining room where most of the room will be lit by recessed spots. Above the table I want a statement low ish hanging pendant light. Not sure whether to go for a large colourful shade or something like a cluster of lights on long cords (if you know what I mean!) I want it to be softer lighting for eating but something that stands out. Any ideas?
