I know some mumsnetters dislike feature walls but I'm at a loss what else to do with this wall and I like wallpaper.

Soooo... I'm redecorating our kitchen/dining/tv room and need something that wasn't too flowery that also matched the kitchen tiles which are shades of coffee colours and our cream kitchen cupboards.

From these wallpapers can you all say which ones you prefer. I like the flowery one but dh and everyone else likes the striped ones. If I went for the stripes I would do it width wise across the wall. I've added a photo of the wall in question to my profile to give you an idea of where or what wall it is.

I really like the John Lewis one and the Bella Stripe one. Not very excited by the one where all the stripes are the same width, and I think the pinstripe pattern and the flowery pattern aren't bold enough for a feature wall and would both be a bit lost when viewed from a distance (I can't make out how big the room is from looking at your photo) - but that might just be my taste.

I'm not sure I'd run the stripes horizontally though; in general I like the idea of horizontal stripes but I'm not sure if it works with the angled ceiling?

You might want to try reposting those URLs as clickable links, I think people would be more inclined to have a look and give their feedback :)

I think I prefer the wallpaper that is already on your wall!

Out of the links I like the john lewis paper. I like the floral pattern but agree it will get a bit lost.

I would go with horizontal stripes, for no other reason than I like them that way.

Thanks both. The picture shows the dining part. It's hard to explain the size but it's a rear extension which was 3m wide by 8m. half the extension is on the bottom of the kitchen which opens completly up into it, and the other half is the bit the picture shows. You can also see on the picture an opening to the right which is the tv area.

Here's the links again for others

Bell a stripe

I love the first one! Not keen on the others though. I love wallpapering and can't wait to wallpaper when we eventually sell and buy a new house.

Can't see first and last link, but like the Camille. Samara wishy-washy, Bella Stripe a bit too vibrant.

Ah.. I'm confused now!
